Nos gusta pensar que toda mudanza es el comienzo de algo nuevo o algo bonito. Es cierto que a veces las mudanzas se hacen por necesidad o por motivos económicos pero creemos firmemente que todos los cambios son buenos y que de toda mudanza se puede sacar algo positivo. Sería una pena hacerse daño precisamente al comienzo de esta nueva etapa en tu vida, motivo por el que hoy queremos explicar cómo evitar lesiones en una mudanza.

Las precauciones que has de tomar son especialmente importantes si has decidido hacer la mudanza por tu cuenta, sin contar con la ayuda de profesionales. Te pedimos por ello que estés muy atento a estos consejos para evitar lesiones en una mudanza; puede que te ahorren más de un disgusto.

No deben sobrepasar los veinte kilos y siempre es preferible contar con más cajas de menor peso que pocas cajas muy pesadas. Ten en cuenta que habrá que subir y bajar escaleras, atravesar pasillos y quicios de puertas; cuanto más fácil sea maniobrar con las cajas, mejor. Sé prudente.

Cuida tu espalda

Puede que no seas un atleta profesional pero para evitar lesiones en una mudanza, es importante hacer unos ejercicios previos de estiramiento de la espalda. Existen en Internet muchas páginas web de consulta pero para facilitarte el trabajo aquí tienes un ejemplo que sólo te supondrá invertir ocho minutos; merece la pena, ¿no?

Si puedes echar mano de algún tipo de cinturón o faja protectora (como las que usan los levantadores de pesos), muchísimo mejor; tus riñones te lo agradecerán.

La indumentaria adecuada

Si quieres evitar lesiones en una mudanza, es clave que uses ropa cómoda con un zapato plano y cerrado. Las sandalias abiertas (por ejemplo) están prohibidas y si tu calzado ofrece soporte para el tobillo (botas o botines) llevarás las de ganar. Cuanto más estables y protegidos estén tus pies, menos probabilidad existirá de que se produzcan lesiones en una mudanza.

Emplea las herramientas adecuadas

Po supuesto, hay uno mínimos imprescindibles en lo que a herramientas se refiere si de verdad quieres evitar lesiones en una mudanza. Una carretilla y un pequeño carro  bajo te harán la vida mucho más fácil y ambos se pueden alquilar. Emplea guantes y aunque no puedan considerarse estrictamente herramientas, unas mantas viejas son fundamentales también para poder deslizar grandes objetos y muebles. Los monopatines son bastante socorridos para trasladar sobre ellos determinados bultos y cajas, siempre dentro de un orden, claro.

Atención a los peligros

Para evitar lesiones en una mudanza has de estar también atento a los posibles peligros que pueden contribuir a ellos. Por ejemplo, un suelo resbaladizo puede ser uno de tus peores enemigos en este sentido. Los pasillos estrechos tampoco ayudan, obligándote a contorsiones y esfuerzos durante la carga de muebles que pueden ocasionarte daño.

Antes de levantar una caja o un mueble, planifica muy bien el recorrido o ruta que seguirás hasta llegar al camión o furgoneta. No tengas prisa y no dudes en pedir ayuda.

Aleja a las mascotas y a los niños

Si es posible, evita que los animales domésticos y los niños estén presentes. Para evitar lesiones en una mudanza, es preferible que se queden con sus abuelos o con unos amigos. Evitarás que ellos se hagan daño pero también que tú te hagas daño, tropezando con el perro o gato, por ejemplo.

Usa los abdominales y levanta con las piernas

Quizá creas que no dispones de músculos abdominales pero te garantizamos que los tienes y que son muy fuertes. Para evitar lesiones en una mudanza, tensa estos músculos cada vez que levantes un objeto y usa las piernas; protegerás con ello la espalda y te evitarás lesiones innecesarias.
